If Beau looks familiar, it may be because his mug was on a billboard just off the Red Line for about a year for Thrones! A Musical Parody at Chicago’s Apollo Theater where, according to the Chicago Sun Times, he “knocked it out of the park.” Beau Nolen has been seen and heard on stage and screen, from Opera to Improv, and in a prime time network reality show. Beau competed on the short-lived ABC reality competition series, Take the Money and Run (Available on Amazon and iTunes). He began his singing career in Germany after attending the American institute of Musical Studies in Austria. Upon returning to the US, he performed with regional opera companies including Sarasota Opera, and Nashville Opera. Some favorite Chicago credits include The Roaring Girl (Moll Cutpurse u/s, The Shakespeare Project of Chicago), The Bridges of Madison County (Marge u/s, Theo Ubique, Jeff Award for Best Musical), The Great Big Invisible Invisible (Loopy, Trap Door Theatre), and Moby Dick! He then packed up, moved to Chicago, and went to graduate school. After far too long, he received his degree and got a job at a university. When the opportunity came to join Terra Mysterium as an ensemble member he welcomed the chance to try his hand at acting again, playing everything from British prime ministers to Forest Lords. She has appeared in a variety of black box theater productions in Chicago as well as appearing in nationally televised television spots. She is currently a member of the Board of Governors of Moebius Theatre. Over the years, Karen has joined Terra Mysterium for a number of their productions, most recently as part of a staged mystery centered on the 1893 World's Fair. In what passes for her real life, Karen has worked for many years in Social Services and currently trains new workers in how to help people meet challenges respectfully and effectively.
